Have the eTailers survived

Back in November we suggested that in the run up to Christmas a failure to fulfil orders on time would lead to an avalanche of emails.  I must confess that so far all my online shopping experiences this last two weeks have been pretty good, with only one item going out of stock and expected to miss the Christmas delivery deadline.

Talking to friends however has illustrated that either I have been lucky, chosen unpopular presents that are in stock or are perhaps a little bit more experienced in online shopping by not leaving it till the last minute.  Tales of woe unfold as they have tried in vain to email without response leading to further desperation and I'm sure that this uncertainty will inevitably lead to them shopping elsewhere in the future.

But which companies are this seasons winners and losers in customer care ?
